RiboCop rRNA Depletion Kit
RiboCop rRNA Depletion Kits enable removal of ribosomal RNA from total RNA and are compatible with all random primed Library Prep Kits such as the CORALL RNA-Seq V2 Library Prep Kits (Cat. No. 171 – 176) for whole transcriptome sequencing.
RiboCop is available for various species:
- Human/Mouse/Rat (HMR, Cat. No. 144),
- Human/Mouse/Rat plus Globin (HMR+Globin, Cat. No. 145),
- Bacteria (Cat. No. 125 – 127),
- Yeast (Cat. No. 190),
- Plants (Cat. No. 237),
- NEW! Fish (Cat. No. 241).
RiboCop kits are available as stand-alone kits in different sizes (24 and 96 preps).
For convenience, RiboCop for Human/Mouse/Rat (HMR or HMR+Globin) is also available as bundle with CORALL Total RNA-Seq Library Prep Kits. For optimal performance, we recommend CORALL Total RNA-Seq V2 Bundles with RiboCop rRNA depletion (Cat. No. 183 – 186).
RiboCop for Bacteria is available with three optimized Probe Mixes for depletion of rRNA from:
- mixed bacterial samples (META, Cat. No. 125),
- from Gram negative bacteria (G-, Cat. No. 126),
- or Gram positive bacteria (G+, Cat. No. 127).
RiboCop rRNA Depletion Kits for Yeast remove undesired cytoplasmic (25S, 18S, 5.8S, 5S, and 35S) and mitochondrial (21S, 15S, ACI60_gr01 and ACI60_gr02) rRNA from intact as well as degraded input RNA. Ribo-depletion affords an unbiased view of the transcriptome, including non-coding and non-polyadenylated RNA species.
RiboCop for Yeast is ideally suited for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) approaches in combination with CORALL RNA-Seq V2 Library Preparation Kits. RiboCop Kits are also compatible with other random primed total RNA library prep kits.
RiboCop rRNA Depletion Kits for Plants remove undesired cytoplasmic (5.8S, 18S and 25S), mitochondrial (5S, 18S and 26S) and plastid (4.5S, 5S, 16S and 23S) rRNA from intact as well as degraded input RNA. Ribo-depletion affords an unbiased view of the transcriptome, including non-coding and non-polyadenylated RNA species.
RiboCop for Plants is ideally suited for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) approaches in combination with CORALL RNA-Seq V2 Library Preparation Kits.
Total RNA from fish species is comprised of large amounts of undesired ribosomal RNA (rRNA) which accounts for ~86 % of all transcripts. Lexogen’s RiboCop rRNA Depletion Kits for Fish remove undesired cytoplasmic (5.8S, 18S and 28S) and mitochondrial (5S, mt12S and mt16S) rRNA from zebrafish Danio rerio and other fish species. Ribo-depletion affords an unbiased view of the transcriptome, including non-coding and non-polyadenylated RNA transcripts.
RiboCop for Fish is ideally suited for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) approaches in combination with CORALL RNA-Seq V2 Library Preparation Kits. RiboCop Kits are also compatible with other random primed total RNA library prep kits RNA library prep kits and long-read sequencing protocols.
